Video of pipelineOnce pipeline installation commences, a Dual Head SeaBat 8125 or 7125 system can be used as a touch down monitoring support tool. The system provides real-time cross profiles at the touch down point. These profiles are true cross profiles of the pipeline regardless of any ROV movements contrary to mechanical scanning profilers that do not update in real-time The profiles can be transmitted in real-time to the lay vessel.
RESON also offers an integrated sonar solution that can be used to monitor the pipeline while departing the lay vessel in the stinger. This system can aid in preventing the pipeline in departing over the side of the stinger, by monitoring the pipe position while in the stinger in real-time. Data is displayed on the RESON developed control and stinger monitoring software.
