Clodiense in Italy awarded RESON a contract for a PDS2000 Wire crane Monitoring in-stallation
Clodiense awarded RESON Rotterdam, through REMED Bologna, the contract to deliver a full wire crane monitoring system installed on their vessel “Lybra”.
The installation is a combination of a wire crane and a stone dumping vessel. The crane is installed on a pontoon which has stone dump capabilities. The pontoon is used for bottom protection in the MOSE project in Venice It-aly.
The project comprises of dredging the area on which mattresses will be placed. On the mattresses caissons will be positioned which will be protected with stones and gravel material.
RESON software PDS2000 will monitor and update the models for the dredging operation and the stone dump operation. Lybra is operating in Malamocco mouth placed in the centre of Venice Lagoon.
Both system installation and calibration were preformed by local engineers, the fact that no assistance from RESON engineers was required shows the quality of both local engineers and the RESON installation documenta-tion.
