RESON experienced a superb exhibition at OI 2006 in London March 21st – 23rd with a high number of visitors at the RESON stand interested in seeing the latest news and developments from RESON.

This year RESON showcased the SeaBat 7000 Multibeam sonar, including the SeaBat 7125, which is now in operation among a number of customers worldwide. The SeaBat 7000 series is based on a sophisticated, flexible and highly modular platform, which includes a number of features like true time-delay beam forming, deep water usage and raw beam data recording. Additional new products on display were the sound velocity probe SVP 70 in titanium (more robust and with a depth of 6000m), TC2128 dual frequency transducer, and new features in PDS2000 acquisition software.

Furthermore RESON revealed new products to be released later this year: The NaviSound 630 Singlebeam Echosounder and the sound velocity probe SVP 71 in aluminium with an ideal depth of 2000m.

During the show RESON received two contracts for multibeam sonar:

• A 400kHz SeaBat 7125 Multibeam sonar for Romona International, a Russian survey company working worldwide. The SeaBat 7125 has a 128° swath with a depth range of 200m. It can be used from a surface vessel, ROV or AUV to a depth of 6000m.
• A SeaBat 8125 to Seabed Polska in Poland.
