Acoustical Calibration Accuracy
RESON uses a “comparison calibration” method. A calibrated reference hydrophone/projector forms the basis for the method. Our reference hydrophones/projectors are calibrated at NPL in London.
The uncertainty of our calibrations is frequency dependent.
For a typical hydrophone, such as a TC4034, calibrated in the interval from 5 to 400kHz, the uncertainty of the measured value in the frequency band is up to ±0.8dB.

| Frequency Interval | Uncertainty of measured value |
| 2-5kHz | ±1.8db |
| 5-20kHz | ±0.8db |
| 20-500kHz | ±0.7db |
| Above 500kHz | ±1.3db |
