RESON SVP 70
RESON manufactures a range of self-recording and/or direct reading Sound Velocity Probes and Profilers for shallow water down to 6000m depth operations. RESON’s portable SVPs include a range of models that use direct sounding technology to ensure sound velocity while a vessel is in operation. SVPs in fixed mount versions are available for Multibeam Sonar, ROV and AUV applications.
SVP 20/25 models are deeper water systems that measure temperature as well as sound velocity. SVP 14/15 models measure sound velocity for shallower depths (temperature measurement for these models is available as an option).
The RESON SVP 70 sound velocity probe is developed for fixed-mount installation on surface ships, outboard rigs, submarines, AUVs, ROVs and other self-propelled platforms. The SVP 70 uses the latest electronic technology combined with an innovative mechanical design to yield a compact, robust, yet very flexible product.
The SVP 70 uses a direct path echosounding technique that instantly compensates for temperature and pressure with internal sensors.
